NXP i.MX8M Plus on F & S Boards.
NXP’s i.MX 8 series is a versatile collection of processors for various applications and needs.
We have already brought the i.MX 8M Mini and Nano on our PicoCore product family to enable smart and power-efficient devices requiring graphics, intelligent sensing and general-purpose processing.
The next extension of our portfolio will be a PicoCore module with i.MX 8M Plus processor.
The i.MX 8M Plus comes with quad Arm Cortex-A53 core up to 1.8GHz and an additional Cortex-M7 up to 800MHz for real-time control.
The multimedia capabilities include high graphic performance up to FullHD or 4Kp30, 3D/2D graphic acceleration, and multiple audio and camera functionalities.
It comes with flexible display connection possibilities via MIPI-DSI (4 lanes) and LVDS, or MIPI-DSI and HDMI, or 2x LVDS (FullHD).
The PicoCoreMX8MP targets devices with demand for graphics, advanced multimedia and high reliability in the industrial and medical sector. It will be long-term available until minimum 2035.
All F&S Linux modules are available with Buildroot or Yocto and include the Board Support Package and Toolchain for Bare Metal or FreeRTOS. F&S does 1-2 Linux releases per year.
